Battery & Starting FAQ
E & E Automotive welcomes you to our website's page dedicated to frequently asked questions the technicians at our automotive repair shop get from customers about the battery and charging system of their vehicles. The battery charging system ensures the battery is kept charged and supplies energy for the various electrical parts of the vehicle during operation, including the radio, lights, power windows, and more. The majority of the vehicles we service for our customers in the greater Roanoke area have charging systems that are comprised of an alternator, battery, wiring, and ECU (electronic control unit). Older model vehicles may have a regulator, but late-model vehicles now use the vehicle's computer.
